Event Overview
Performance Overview
Created by pianist Eunbi Kim, in collaboration with actress Laura Yumi Snell, and director Kira Simring, Murakami Music is a performance piece inspired by the works of contemporary Japanese novelist Haruki Murakami, an author whose books have been translated into fifty languages, and sold millions of copies. His works reference classical music, as well as popular music, jazz and blues.
A dramatic work, this program includes performances of piano works with theatrical readings that explore the complexities of the lives behind the pianists in Murakami’s books including Sputnik Sweetheart, Kafka on the Shore, and Norwegian Wood.

Our Fundraising Campaign
We are raising funds to offset production costs and to provide artist fees for all the hard-working, talented, and creative people involved in this passion project. Ticket sales alone rarely cover all the expenses for a performance, such as printing and designing programs and materials, the space rental, technical lighting, artist fees, etc.
In return, we invite you to our VIP Reception Party, a RESOBOX cafe date complete with their famous matcha latte and sushi, backstage access and open rehearsals, and a private house concert for you and all your friends.
