Spanning the past 6 years, Jenri weaves tales of astral projection, flight, love, acceptance, dreams, disappointments, pain and change. Each canvas serves as an insight into the soul of this young artist, who has worked tirelessly to better his life and the lives of others.
About the Artist
A long time advocate for animals and the arts, in the past Jenri has worked with the Long Island Gay and Lesbian Film Festival and other local organizations. Currently, Mr. Gonzalez volunteers with MPowerment, an organization dedicated to bettering the lives of GBTQ youth. Under his tutelage, the local group has grown twentyfold, and has expanded to offer free STD testing and counseling. Not content to sit back with this success , Jenri now also works with the first group for HIV positive youth on Long Island. Though not positive himself, Mr. Gonzalez recognizes the need for a support haven for the youth, aged 17-30, and expects to bring to it the affirmative message he brings to any of his endeavors.
