RESOBOX helped to arrange a special New York exhibition by Kyugetsu, a renowned Japanese doll manufacturer, titled “The Harmony of Artistry: Japanese Dolls and Traditional Crafts.” The exhibition took place at the Nippon Gallery at the Nippon Club, from November 14th through November 20th, 2024.

This was Kyugetsu’s first exhibition outside of Japan, showcasing a diverse range of works, including traditional crafts such as Oyama dolls, Renjishi dolls, and Boys’ Festival dolls, as well as the results of collaborations such as dolls featuring anime and movie characters, and even dolls presented as folk art.
The opening reception drew a large audience, successfully sharing the charm of traditional Japanese culture and crafts. Notably, attendees included individuals from the entertainment industry—spanning anime, games, novels, and movies—as well as artists interested in collaborating with Kyugetsu, providing a valuable opportunity for networking.
Additionally, during the exhibition, RESOBOX arranged more than ten business meetings with local retailers, artists, and film producers, supporting Kyugetsu’s move toward entering the New York market.
Visitors were deeply impressed by the craftsmanship of Kyugetsu’s artisans and the beauty of Japanese dolls, enhancing their understanding of Japanese culture. This event was a significant milestone in promoting traditional Japanese crafts overseas, and we remain committed to helping share Japanese culture with the world.
