On December 16, 2024, we hosted a Kazari Maki-Zushi (decorative sushi roll) class at the New York office of Magic Spoon, a company known for its health-conscious, gluten-free cereals that are high in protein and low in sugar.
The theme for the class, held just before Christmas, was Santa Claus and Penguins. Participants enthusiastically took on the challenge of creating decorative sushi rolls in a friendly and lively atmosphere. Using colorful ingredients and rice artfully arranged on sheets of seaweed, each student built their designs step by step. Many remarked how the process felt like creating a work of art. Cheers erupted when the sushi was sliced to reveal the intricate and beautiful cross-sections, creating a moment of excitement and joy.
The collaborative spirit of the participants was evident as they exchanged ideas on design and color placement, working together as a team to perfect their creations. The event showcased the strong sense of unity among the employees of Magic Spoon and left a lasting impression on all who partook.
