Love sweets? Love Japan, too? Come see and taste our newest project on sweets with Japanese-themed ingredients! Every month, we’ll be introducing new delicious creations by unique chefs with one main themed Japanese ingredient. We encourage RESOBOX Chelsea visitors try them all and indulge themselves in the many different flavors Japan has to offer! See below for our current flavor/theme and presenting chefs!

What is Matcha?
Matcha is finely ground powdered green tea leaves. Often used in hot water for tea or other flavoring, it has slight bitter taste perfect for sweets. Matcha is often used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies and is defined by its brilliant green color.

HB Kitchen
HB Kitchen is a native from Hokkaido, Japan and studied baking, pastry, and Wagashi (Japanese sweets) for many years. As a mother of four children and always concerned with “healthiness” of baked goods, she makes non-preservative and uses organic ingredients as much as possible. She also holds a Level 1 instructors certification for decorative sushi from JSIA (Japan Sushi Instructors Association).
