The dishes we are cooking together will be Miso-glazed Tofu Bowl and Aunti Mieko’s GMMD (Goma Miso Mayo Dip). It was also designed in a way that you can recreate the dishes at home using the techniques you learn in the class.
In the beginning of the class, we will go over basic types of miso, its flavor profiles and characteristics, health benefits of miso and fermented food. Then we will cook the dishes together using other Japanese cooking essentials like soy sauce, mirin (cooking wine) and tofu. At the end of the class we will sit down at a table and enjoy the food we made.
