On January 28th and 29th, we are hosting a tasting and sales event of Japanese sweet potato “Beni Haruka” at Market Line in the cellar of Essex Market in New York City’s East Village. The frozen sweet potato is directly imported from Japan and although it has only been available in the city for a short time, it has already been well received by many repeat customers, with comments such as “the taste is on a different level from the ‘sweet potato’ sold in New York” and “once you try it, you will be addicted to it”.
Beni Haruka is a Japanese sweet potato variety characterized by its creamy, buttery texture and honey-like flavor. The sweetness of the ingredient itself is so strong that even though it is sugar-free, you can enjoy the rich taste of a high-end sweet treat. Because they are gluten-free and packed full of nutrients, they are attracting attention as a healthy snack for children and health-conscious adults alike.
The tasting and sales event will be held from 1pm to 5pm on both days. Please come and taste for yourself.
