When Google was looking to provide a Japanese Manga Class for their employees, we were delighted to work with them to create a memorable experience for them!
The class was led by talented manga artist Misako Takashima, also known as Misako Rocks! With her expert guidance over Zoom, in just one hour, attendees were able to learn basic techniques and finish drawing their own unique characters.
This time, Google invited employees worldwide to participate in the program, and more than 100 people wanted to participate. Everyone enjoyed the program a great deal, thanks to Ms. Takashima’s expert tutelage!
This is just one of the Japanese cultural experiences we’re able to share with companies and their employees. If manga doesn’t fit with your company culture, perhaps consider sumi-e, bonsai, ikebana, origami, or sushi making! These classes are popular among our local fans, and have also been enjoyed by New York-based companies such as Netflix, Airbnb, Dropbox, Microsoft, Goldman Sach, and Otsuka Pharmaceutical.
As major U.S. companies become more globalized, they are focusing on educating their employees by exposing them to various cultures in a number of different ways. This kind of class is a great tool for promoting cultural exchange as well as team building, so we expect demand to keep climbing from this point forward.
Please feel free to contact us if your company would like to offer Japanese cultural classes.
