On March 11th 2025, RESOBOX’s Decorative Sushi Roll class was featured on “New York Live,” a popular lifestyle program on NBC, one of the four major television networks in the United States.
Although the segment was just a few minutes long, the show’s host, Dahiana Perez, participated in the full class and experienced making adorable “Penguin Sushi” together with instructor Hiroyo Belmonte. The broadcast showcased the process of assembling the sushi from start to finish.
RESOBOX CEO Takaski Ikezawa also made a brief appearance at the beginning of the segment, sharing a light conversation with Dahiana. Because she is from the Dominican Republic, and Mr. Ikezawa had just been planning a business trip to the DR, the moment felt all the more serendipitous and relatable. Dahiana’s bright and cheerful energy helped create a fun and engaging atmosphere throughout the shoot, and we at RESOBOX are so grateful to her for making this experience a delight!
We hope this segment conveyed the joy and depth of decorative sushi rolls to a whole new audience.
At RESOBOX, we’ll continue to share the beauty of Japanese culture with New York through experiences like these!
