RESOBOX Leads Mizuhiki Workshop for Covington & Burling in New York

RESOBOX held a mizuhiki workshop for Covington & Burling in New York, introducing Japanese decorative knot-making to professionals in an international corporate setting.
A New Corporate Workshop Format
Mizuhiki, the Japanese art of decorative cord knotting, carries meanings of connection, celebration, and care. For this workshop, RESOBOX worked with instructor Satoi Adams to create an accessible introductory program that allowed participants to learn the basics while making their own pieces.
The session showed how traditional Japanese craft can resonate in a fast-paced professional environment. Participants were able to slow down, focus with their hands, and experience the beauty of musubi, the act and symbolism of tying.
Building Japanese Culture Into Workplace Experiences
Mizuhiki is one of RESOBOX's newer workshop offerings, and the response to this session reinforced its potential for corporate teams, professional groups, and private events. The craft is visually elegant, meaningful, and approachable even for first-time participants.
RESOBOX will continue refining this program with Satoi Adams and expanding the ways Japanese craft workshops can support team engagement, cultural learning, and creative workplace experiences.
