Kazuhide Sugimoto — better known as the "Shiitake Prince" of Sugimoto Shoten, the renowned dried shiitake producer from the Takachiho region of Miyazaki Prefecture — returned to New York. RESOBOX organized a series of sales events for his visit, starting with a pop-up at Kyo-Mart in Flushing.

At Kyo-Mart, where we recently launched a display and sales partnership, customers lined up to taste umami-rich premium dried shiitake from Takachiho. The pop-up drew a wonderful crowd and an even better response.
