Paint a chrysanthemum with RESOBOX sumi-e teacher Kohfu Furukawa at Kiku Highlight Weekend, The New York Botanical Garden.

Kohfu Furukawa joins The New York Botanical Garden’s Kiku Highlight Weekend with short, hands-on sumi-e workshops outside the Nolen Greenhouses, home to the Garden’s display of Japanese chrysanthemums, or kiku. In each 25-minute session, Kohfu demonstrates every brushstroke as you paint your own chrysanthemum with a traditional brush, ink, and paper.

No experience is needed, and all materials are provided. Between workshops, stop by her demonstration table to see her work up close and ask questions.
