NHK World featured the Brooklyn classroom of "Gunpla After School," the Gundam plastic model–building program for 4th–8th graders that RESOBOX has been running since last year.

Learning Through Model Building

Launched in fall 2025 at two locations — RESOBOX in Manhattan's East Village and Lil J's Creative Canvas in Brooklyn — the after-school program introduces kids to gunpla, Japan's beloved culture of plastic model building, developing focus, fine motor skills, and creativity along the way.

Growing by Word of Mouth

The program began with the passionate vision of organizer Keisuke Inoue and has been growing steadily through word of mouth — a momentum that caught the attention of NHK World, Japan's international broadcaster. RESOBOX also hosts a long-running adult gunpla community with Tim Martin of Project NuType, showing that model building in New York spans every generation.
