Kikusui Sake Meets Japanese Fusion: A Funaguchi Tasting at WARUDE Crown Heights

Guests enjoying the Kikusui Funaguchi tasting event at WARUDE's Crown Heights location

RESOBOX organized a collaboration event between WARUDE, the Japanese fusion restaurant, and Kikusui Sake Brewing, the celebrated brewery founded in 1881 in Shibata City, Niigata. At WARUDE's new Crown Heights location, guests enjoyed Kikusui's signature Funaguchi "Red Can."

Fresh, Unpasteurized, Straight from the Can

Funaguchi — Japan's pioneering fresh nama-zake in a can — offered many guests their first taste of rich, unpasteurized sake, and the response was enthusiastic. Our thanks to Kikusui's Leo Yoshimura for his tireless support of the event.

Still on the Menu

Kikusui sake remains on the menu at WARUDE Crown Heights, so stop by for a glass — and while you're there, the hearty Japanese curry rice comes highly recommended.
